Art and Design Technology

The children love creating, inventing and experimenting at Broomgrove Infant School within Art and Design Technology. Through a carefully tailored curriculum across a wide range of mediums, the children have the opportunity to revisit and build upon their skills and knowledge. In each year group the children will engage with the following mediums linked to their year group's topic themes to contextualise and embed their learning.

  • drawing and development of sketchbooks
  • paint, surface and texture
  • print, colour and collage
  • working in three dimensions
  • textiles
  • mechanisms and structures
  • food technology

 

Staff also incorporate designing, evaluating and knowledge of artists and designers across the above mediums and subject matter.
