Children at Broomgrove Infant School enjoy a music curriculum following the Stave House method. Each class attends a weekly music lesson with a subject specialist, learning to read, write, play and enjoy music.
During Year 2 many children choose to take the Stave House Level 1 Performance Award via London College of Music, which enables them to use their musical knowledge to gain a formal certificate. The children continue their Stave House music education at Broomgrove Junior School, where they have the opportunity to take further certificates if they wish.
Congratulations to the 17 children who were examined and passed their Level 1 certificate in June 2022 (5 children achieving a Pass with Distinction).
